The Mobile Filtering & Transcoding Engine (MFT) is a solution of M-Way Solutions GmbH, making it possible for you to offer your existing web appearance to all mobile users economic. The platform provides the functionality for a dynamical adaptation of websites. Therefore the real time device detection is being used as well as the extensive device database supported by M-Way Solutions. In the device database more than 5000 devices and 14000 device profiles are stored. With the optimization of the websites to the conditions of each customer device it is assured that the user navigation and the delivery of the content is adapted to the speed and the screen size of each customer device.
That means for your customer that content that was not usable gets accessible in an efficient way without adaptation of the existing offer.

Implementation
The adaptation of the web-offer does take place in 3 steps:
Step 1: Identification and analysis of the main content and the navigation structure
Step 2: Through a „Refactory“ the markups get converted and scaled due to the screen size and the graphics according to the supported formats of the devices. Not executable content and markup elements get removed and new positioned and/or arranged. Table designs get removed if neccessary, menu elements get identified and transferred on separate pages.
Step 3: To define the specific characteristics of the device the Mobile Filtering & Transcoding Engine uses the real time device detection for mobile devices. With more than 14000 device profiles and several hundreds of attributes per device the contents get customized optimal according to the capability of the device. Furthermore static content can be integrated in the header or footer of the web site for marketing information, continuative links, help function or legal information.
